G.S.R. 407(E). - In exercise of the powers conferred by clauses (d) and (e) of sub-section (2) of section 24 of the Coinage Act, 2011 (11 of 2011), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules, namely: - 1. Short title and commencement. - (1) These rules may be called the Coinage (Issue of Commemorative Coin on the occasion of the 550th [Parkash Purab of Sri] Guru Nanak Dev Ji) Rules, 2019. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. Denomination of coins. - The coin of Five Hundred and Fifty denomination shall also be coined at the Mint for issue under the authority of the Central Government on the occasion of "the 550th [Parkash Purab of Sri] Guru Nanak Dev Ji". 3. Dimension and composition of coins. - The coin of the above denomination mentioned in rule 2 shall conform to the following dimensions and composition, namely: -

Five Hundred and Fifty Obverse. - This face of the coin shall bear the Lion Capitol of Ashoka Pillar in the centre with the legend ^^lR;eso t;rs** inscribed below, flanked on the left periphery with the word ^^Hkkjr** in Devnagri script and on the right periphery with the word "INDIA" in English. It shall also bear the Rupee symbol "L" and denominational value "550" in the International Numerals below the Lion Capitol. Reverse. - This face of coin shall bear the Picture of "Gurdwara Shri Ber Sahib, Sultanpur Lodhi, Punjab." The inscription ^^Jh xq: ukud nso th dk 550 oka izdk'k mRlo** in Devanagri script and "550th [Parkash Purab of Sri] Guru Nanak Dev Ji" in English shall be written on the top periphery and lower periphery of the coin respectively. The year "1469" and "2019" in International Numeral shall be flanked at left and right periphery of the coin.Second Schedule
