Coinage (Issue of Commemorative Coins to Commemorate on the Occasion of 125th Birth Anniversary of Srimat Swami Pranavanandaji Maharaj) Rules, 2021

G.S.R. 41(E). - In exercise of the powers conferred by clauses (d) and (e) of sub-section (2) of section 24 of the Coinage Act, 2011 (11 of 2011), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules, namely: -

1. Short title and commencement. - (1) These rules may be called the Coinage (Issue of Commemorative Coins to commemorate on the occasion of 125th Birth Anniversary of Srimat Swami Pranavanandaji Maharaj) Rules, 2021.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. Denomination of coins. - The coins of One Hundred Rupees, Fifty Rupees and Ten Rupees denominations shall only be coined at the Mint for issue under the authority of the Central Government to commemorate on the occasion of "125th Birth Anniversary of Srimat Swami Pranavanandaji Maharaj".

3. Dimension and composition of coins. - The coins of the above denominations mentioned in rule 2 shall conform to the following dimensions and composition, namely: -

1. Design. - The design of the coins shall be as specified in the First Schedule to these rules.

2. Standard weight and remedy allowed. - The standard weight of the coins of above denomination coined to commemorate the occasion of 125th Birth Anniversary of Srimat Swami Pranavanandaji Maharaj and the remedy allowed in making of such coins shall be as specified in the Second Schedule to these rules.

The First Schedule

(i) One Hundred Rupees

Obverse. - This face of the coin shall bear the Lion Capitol of Ashoka Pillar in the centre with the legend " lR;eso t;rs" inscribed below, flanked on the left periphery with the word " Hkkjr" in Devnagri script and on the right periphery with the word "INDIA" in English. It shall also bear the Rupee symbol " L " and denominational value "100" in the International Numerals below the Lion Capitol.

Reverse. - This face of coin shall bear the portrait of Srimat Swami Pranavanandaji Maharaj. The inscription " Jher Lokeh iz.kokuanth egkjkt dh 125 oha t;arh" is depicted on the upper periphery of the coin. On the lower periphery of the coin the inscription "125th Birth Anniversary of Srimat Swami Pranavanandaji Maharaj" in English is depicted. The year "2021" in International Numeral shall be written below the image of Srimat Swami Pranavanandaji Maharaj.

(ii) Fifty Rupees

Obverse. - This face of the coin shall bear the Lion Capitol of Ashoka Pillar in the centre with the legend " lR;eso t;rs" inscribed below, flanked on the left periphery with the word " Hkkjr" in Devnagri script and on the right periphery with the word "INDIA" in English. It shall also bear the Rupee symbol " L " and denominational value "50" in the International Numerals below the Lion Capitol.

Reverse. - This face of coin shall bear the portrait of Srimat Swami Pranavanandaji Maharaj. The inscription " Jher Lokeh iz.kokuanth egkjkt dh 125 oha t;arh" is depicted on the upper periphery of the coin. On the lower periphery of the coin the inscription "125th Birth Anniversary of Srimat Swami Pranavanandaji Maharaj" in English is depicted. The year "2021" in International Numeral shall be written below the image of Srimat Swami Pranavanandaji Maharaj.

(iii) Ten Rupees

Obverse. - This face of the coin shall bear the Lion Capitol of Ashoka Pillar in the centre with the legend " lR;eso t;rs" inscribed below, flanked on the left periphery with the word " Hkkjr" in Devnagri script and on the right periphery with the word "INDIA" in English. Reverse. - This face of coin shall bear the portrait of Srimat Swami Pranavanandaji Maharaj. The inscription " Jher Lokeh iz.kokuanth egkjkt dh 125 oha t;arh" is depicted on the upper periphery of the coin. On the lower periphery of the coin the inscription "125th Birth Anniversary of Srimat Swami Pranavanandaji Maharaj" in English is depicted. The year "2021" in International Numeral written below the image of Srimat Swami Pranavanandaji Maharaj.

1/100th Plus or Minus both for Copper and Zinc, that is to say, Copper content could vary from 74% to 76% and Zinc content from 19% to 21% and 1/200th plus or minus for Nickel, that is to say Nickel content could vary from 4.5% to 5.5%
Centre Piece (Nickel Silver):
1/100th plus or minus for both Copper and Zinc, that is to say, Copper content could vary from 64% to 66% and Zinc content from 14% to 16% and 1/100th plus or minus for Nickel, that is to say Nickel content could vary from 19% to 21%.

1/40th plus or minus, that is to say, the weight could vary from 7.55 grams to 7.93 grams.
