G.S.R. 300(E). - In exercise of the powers conferred by clauses (d) and (e) of sub-section (2) of section 24 of the Coinage Act, 2011 (11 of 2011), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules, namely: -

1. Short title and commencement. - (1) These rules may be called the Coinage (Issue of Commemorative Coin to commemorate the occasion of 400th Birth Anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji) Rules, 2021.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. Denomination of Coin. - The coin of Four Hundred Rupees denomination shall only be coined at the Mint for issue under the authority of the Central Government to commemorate on the occasion of "400th Birth Anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji".

3. Dimension and composition of coin. - The coin of the above denomination mentioned in rule 2 shall conform to the following dimensions and composition, namely: -

4. Design. - The design of the coin shall be as specified in the First Schedule to these rules.

5. Standard weight and remedy allowed. - The standard weight of the coin of above denomination and the remedy allowed in making of the coin shall be as specified in the Second Schedule to these rules.

Four Hundred Rupees

Obverse. - This face of the coin shall bear the Lion Capitol of Ashoka Pillar in the centre with the legend ^^lR;eso t;rs** inscribed below, flanked on the left periphery with the word ^^Hkkjr** in Devnagri script and on the right periphery with the word "INDIA" in English. It shall also bear the Rupee symbol " L " and denominational value "400" in International Numerals below the Lion Capitol.

Reverse. - This face of the coin shall bear the image of "Gurudwara Guru Ka Mahal, Amritsar" in the centre. Two swords are encompassing the image of gurudwara. A ribbon label with text "400 ;kbk gqek;a r[o{g[op ;qh r[o{ s/r pjkdo ih" in Panjabi is flanked below the image of Gurudwara. Further, the Text "r[o{d[nkok r[o{ e/ wfjb ;qh nfwqs;o" in Panjabi is inscribed besides the image of the Gurudwara and the text "gqrN GJ/ r[o{ s/r pjkdo ;rb f;q;N Ykgh ukdo" in Panjabi is inscribed on top of the image of the Gurudwara. On the upper periphery of the coin, the inscription ^^Jh xq# rsx cgknqj th dh 400oha t;arh** in Hindi is depicted and on lower periphery of the coin, the inscription "400th BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF SRI GURU TEGH BAHADUR JI" in English is depicted. The year 1621- 2021 in international numerals will be written below the image of the Gurudwara Guru Ka Mahal, Amritsar.
