The U.P. Antarim Zila Parishad (Removal of Difficulties) (First) Order, 1961
Whereas under the Uttar Pradesh Antarim Zila Parishad Act, 1958 (U.P. Act No. XXII of 1958), the powers, function and duties of a District Board are vested in the Antarim Zila Parishad;
And whereas difficulites have arisen on account of the offices of both the Adhyaksha and the Up-Adhyaksha in the Antarim Zila Parishad, Etawah, having been vacant;
And whereas no second Up-Adhyaksha is envisaged under the U.P. Antarim Zila Parishad Act, 1958, and does not exist;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers under clause (8) of Section 6 of the UP. Antarim Zila Parishad Act, 1958 (U.P. Act XXII of 1958), the Governor of Uttar Pradesh is pleased to make the following order for the removal of the difficulities :
1. (1) This Order shall be called the U.P. Antarim Zila Parishad (Removal of Difficulties(s) (First) Order, 1961.
(2) It shall come into force from the date of its publication in the U.P. Gazette.
2. The District Magistrate, Etawah, shall, till such time as an Adhyaksha or Up-Adhyaksha has been elected in accordance with the provisions of the U.P. Antarim Zila Parishad Act, 1958, and at least one of the said two offices is filled up, exercise all the powers and perform such of the duties and functions of Adhyaksha of the said Antarim Zila Parishad.
