Arunachal Pradesh Foodstuff (Hoarding and Profiteering) Control Order, 1975

(a) "Foodstuff" means and includes pulses, mustard oil, other edible, oils, iodised salt, rice, atta and any other class of commodities which the Chief Commissioner, Arunachal Pradesh may, by order, declare to be "foodstuff" for the purpose of this Order ;
(b) "Deputy Commissioner" includes an Additional Deputy Commissioner, the Assistant Commissioner and the Extra-Assistant Commissioners within their respective jurisdictions ;
(c) "Person" means person dealing in foodstuff.3. (a) No person shall withhold from sale any foodstuff ordinarily kept for sale.
(b) No person shall keep more than three months' reserve stock of foodstuff. The quantity of stock of a person will be determined by the Deputy Commissioner.
(c) No person shall sell any of the foodstuff at rates higher than those fixed by the Chief Commissioner.4. Power to call for information, search and seizure, etc. - The Deputy Commissioner may-
(a) issue direction to a person to maintain and produce for inspection such books, accounts and records relating to his business in foodstuff;
(b) issue direction to any person to furnish information regarding purchase, sale and stock in hand of the foodstuff ;
(c) enter, search, seize or authorise in writing any officer of the Government to enter and search any premises, vehicles or places where there is reason to believe that stock of foodstuff had been stored in contravention of this Order and to seize such stock, any books of accounts and documents which in his opinion, would be useful for or relevant to any proceedings under this Order.5. Sanction for prosecution. - No prosecution in respect of an alleged contravention of the provision of this Order shall be instituted without the previous sanction of the Deputy Commissioner in writing. 6. The Arunachal Pradesh Foodstuff (Hoarding and Profiteering) Control Order, 1974, published under Notification No. Sup-41/155/72, dated 29th August, 1974, is hereby cancelled.
