The Bihar Bricks Price Control Order, 1983
Published vide Notification No. G.S.R. 49, Bihar Gazette (Extra-ordinary) No. 1221 dated December 16th, 1983
(a) cost of coal including freight, transport, loading/unloading charges.
(b) expense incurred on moulding of Kacha Bricks, including expense on sand, clay and water;
(c) expense in loading and unloading bricks from kiln and stocking in the premises of the brick kiln;
(d) Mistri and labour charges for firing kiln.
(e) maintenance of temporary labour huts, chimney and bricks kiln equipment;
(f) cost of firewood and igniting coal;
(g) taxes and overheads ;
(h) natural damages to bricks; and
(i) profit not exceeding fifteen per cent.3. Fixation of size of bricks. - The District Magistrate shall fix the size of bricks in consultation with the representatives of Brick Manufacturers and Traders Associations, Executive Engineer of Building Construction Department and other concerned Officers. In each District, the brick shall be manufactured according to customary size which may vary for each District. In one District the Brick shall be manufactured almost of the same size. 4. The District Magistrate shall send his report to the State Government positively within a week from the date of fixation of price of bricks under Clause 2 and fixation of size of bricks under Clause 3. 5. Regulation of selling price of bricks. - Necessary action shall be taken by the manufacturers of bricks and traders of bricks for manufacture and sale of bricks according to the Instructions issued from time to time by the District Magistrate or the State Government.
