An Act to repeal and re-enact the provisions of the Indian Registration (Bombay Amendment) Act, 1942.
Whereas in view of the provisions of sub-section (4) of section 93 of the Government of India Act, 1935, it is expedient to repeal and re-enact the provisions of the Indian Registration (Bombay Amendment) Act, 1942; It is hereby enacted as follows :
1. Short title. - This Act may be called the Indian Registration (Bombay Amendment) Act, 1947.
2. Repeal of Bombay X of 1942. - The Indian Registration (Bombay Amendment) Act, 1942, is repealed.
3. Amendment of section 28 of Act XVI of 1908. - In section 28 of the Indian Registration Act, 1908, in its application to the Province of Bombay, for the brackets, letters and word "(c) and (ee)" the brackets, letters and word "(c), (cc) and (ee)" shall be substituted.
