|Statement of the Objects and Reasons. - The Bill is intended to carry out amendments to sections 7 and 7-C of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947, with a view to making eligible the existing Tribunals for appointment as Tribunal Labour Court under the said Act. (Published vide Punjab Government Gazette Extraordinary, dated the 25th May, 1957.)|
"(c) he is or has been a District Judge; or
(d) he has held the office of the Chairman or any other member of the Labour Appellate Tribunal constituted under the Industrial Disputes (Appellate Tribunal) Act, 1950, or of any Tribunal, for the period of not less than two years",3. Amendment of section 7-C of Central Act No. XIV of 1947. - In section 7-C of the Principal Act, for clause (b), the following shall be substituted, namely :-
"(b) he has attained the age of sixty-seven years."
