|Statement of Objects and Reasons. - (i) To provide free traffic for all vehicles crossing the bridges on state roads.
(ii) to give impetus to big industries to start their manufacturing units in the backward areas of the state and to save time of general public wasted in stoppage at Bridges for payment of Toll Tax.Published vide Punjab Gazette (Extraordinary) dated 23.3.1976.
Provided that such repeal shall not affect -
(a) the previous operation of the Act so repealed or anything duly done or suffered thereunder; or
(b) any obligation or liability accrued or incurred under the Act so repealed; or
(c) any penalty, forfeiture or punishment incurred in respect of any offence committed against the Act so repealed; or
(d) any legal proceeding or remedy in respect of any such obligation, liability, penalty, forfeiture or punishment as aforesaid;and any such legal proceeding or remedy may be continued or enforced and any such penalty, forfeiture or punishment may be imposed as if this Act had not been passed.
