About Bare Acts Live
Bare Acts Live started in the year 2003 is now the the biggest collection of Indian Bare Acts and Rules. Total count of Acts and Rules is displayed on the home page that dynamically changes with every new addition of bare Act
The Central Bare Acts are the acts passed by the Indian Parliament. Rules framed by various authorities under central acts are also added. Bare Acts Live also has the biggest collection of the Acts passed by various State Legislatures along with subordinate legislation i.e. rules framed under the Acts. The count of the State Acts is also visible on the home page. The count changes dynamically with every addition of new bare act Bare Act Live does not include departmental or service rules framed under Article 309 of the Constitution of India. Every possible care is being taken to amend the Acts and Rules from time to time but considering the enormous task there is always possibility of some omissions. We earnestly seek your help and request you to report mistakes and omissions, your contribution will be duly acknowledged.How to Find a Bare Act
Type part or full name of the act in the search window, a list will appear underneath, select your Act from the list and click on the Open button on the right side
The first page of the Bare Act will open. Bare Act Live has the following basic navigation options;- Go to Section
- Find some text in the bare Act
- Go to Next page
- Go to page number
How Amendments are Depicted
Amendments have been incorporated in the appropriate places in the main Act itself. Where ever necessary the amending acts are also separately provided
All amendments e.g. additions, substitutions and omissions are depicted in shaded colours. Two separate colours of shades are used to avoid mix up of very close amended portions of the bare act.
Take your cursor over the shaded portion and you be able to see more detail of the amendment in the tool tipOther Legends
Where ever possible, we have tried to preserve the old deleted and substituted portions of bare act, also tried to proved additional information that might be useful. Such information is neatly wrapped in drop down menus. Clicking on them will show the additional information
